Can you believe that I actually did a UStream Show last night?! It was very impromptu and tons of fun. I finished my Project Life Week 6 on the show.
Here it is (in two parts) in case you missed it:
Do you LOVE art journaling? New to the idea?
Check out my latest video for a fun background technique!
I used tissue paper, BINGO cards and Catalyst Wedges. BUT, you can use paper towels, napkins, papers from your stash…and instead of those wedges, try cheap hair combs!
What a great way to enjoy the OUTSIDE of a wine bottle after you enjoy the goodness INSIDE the bottle! I decided to alter this bottle using some pretty, vintage goodies that were all over my table from some projects that I was working on. If you would like to see how it’s done, check out my UStream Show–the link is at the end of this post.
WOW-school has been crazy busy! I have been coming home wiped out. Marty & I decided to change the color of our living room and make some changes in that space…more on that later. Back to blogging again…
Today, I am sharing two cards with the same layout. I used some different but similar papers. I love this dress form-it’s from Tim Holtz and one of my favorites! To get that ripped, vintage look on the dress form–spray it first with a spray of your choice. Then paint parts of the form with Distress Paint & let it dry. The cracks will take on the color of the spray. The paper on the form is done by tracing the dress form and then tearing out the traced image. I hope that makes sense. I would be happy to do a youtube video if you want to see the process step-by-step. (Leave a comment if that’s the case!)
Speaking of videos, I love doing youtube videos and my UStream show. I haven’t done either in a while for the simple reason that I don’t know what you want to see/learn. If you are interested in seeing videos again, give me a shout in the comments section with anything that you would love to see. Can’t wait to hear from you!
Just a reminder about my UStream Show tonight at 6pmEST.
I am in LOVE with using maps for my scrapbooking pages. It makes creating so much easier when I can use a guide to cut and place my gorgeous patterned papers. Join me tonight on my UStream Channel as I teach you how to use my new favorite book, MAGIC, to make a double page spread full of stunning products from top scrapbooking companies.
I hope you can join us at The Gotham City Stamper UStream Show and tell your friends!
Recently, I have had to really take a close look at my schedule. The amount of art classes that I am teaching (and taking) have been increasing. Planning & prepping these classes in New York City have been taking an increasing amount of time.
With that said, I will be changing my UStream schedule to best meet the demands of my schedule. This will give me the opportunity to give you the best experience possible when you tune into my live shows or you watch the recordings. I want to be able to give you really inspirational experiences in which I share new techniques, products and projects.
From now on, I will be posting dates, times and projects in advance on both my blog and my Facebook Page. I will post samples of the projects so you can make art along with me. Subscribe to my blog or Facebook page to stay up to date to when I will be crafting LIVE on UStream.
Join me on September 1st at 6:30pmEST on my UStream Channel to make these three cards along with me. I am SO excited for this class that I just lowered the price for the class kit AND that includes priority shipping!

SHINKY DINKS? Yes, this old school “toy” has taken me by storm. Is it a toy? Or a crafting item? Who knows? Who cares? They look GREAT on papercrafts projects! Here I made an elegant vintage shabby chic tag. I made a charm and added our lovely lady on the bottom. Want to learn how to use SHRINKY DINKS on your projects? Join me on Saturday Night at 6pmEST on my UStream Channel to learn how! After the techiques, join me to craft the night away and chit chat on the creative chat.
