It started with something on the floor…

Inspiration comes from the most unusual places sometimes. This time it came from something one of my pals at work found on the floor. Well, I think it was on the floor. I know for sure she found it and it ended up on her desk. As soon as I saw it, I knew it needed a new life.  That earring was missing its buddy and perhaps a bead or something was in the middle. It had a ton of life left in it! I took it from my friend and promised her I would turn it into something special. She had to wait months for it because I had forgotten about that little treasure. After some going back and forth with some silly posts with her on Facebook one night, I dug that little earring out of my stash.

I love making jewelry but sometimes get stuck with beginning a piece. I have tons of jewelry ideas on my Pinterest to inspire my ideas. This time, I dumped out my zillions of charms and started playing. I knew I wanted to make an eclectic piece with a vintage vibe. IMG_0382

Here is the finished piece. The little “find” is on the bottom of the piece…what do you think? Did it get a brand new life? My friend LOVED it and has worn it almost everyday since I surprised her with it. So thrilled that she is enjoying it so much!IMG_0383
