It started with something on the floor…
February 9th, 2013 by Heidi Bound received 1 Comment »Inspiration comes from the most unusual places sometimes. This time it came from something one of my pals at work found on the floor. Well, I think it was on the floor. I know for sure she found it and it ended up on her desk. As soon as I saw it, I knew it needed a new life. That earring was missing its buddy and perhaps a bead or something was in the middle. It had a ton of life left in it! I took it from my friend and promised her I would turn it into something special. She had to wait months for it because I had forgotten about that little treasure. After some going back and forth with some silly posts with her on Facebook one night, I dug that little earring out of my stash.

I love making jewelry but sometimes get stuck with beginning a piece. I have tons of jewelry ideas on my Pinterest to inspire my ideas. This time, I dumped out my zillions of charms and started playing. I knew I wanted to make an eclectic piece with a vintage vibe.
Here is the finished piece. The little “find” is on the bottom of the piece…what do you think? Did it get a brand new life? My friend LOVED it and has worn it almost everyday since I surprised her with it. So thrilled that she is enjoying it so much!
